Hardcore Legends Raised Fist to Headline Kaaos Festival
Vaasa’s heavy music scene is heating up this summer with the launch of a brand-new metal-focused event: Kaaos Festival, taking place July 25–26 at the former Wasalandia amusement park in Vaskiluoto.
Joining the already announced lineup—which includes The Haunted, Fleshgod Apocalypse, In Mourning, Chaoseum, Turmion Kätilöt, Bloodred Hourglass, …And Oceans, Assemble The Chariots, Enemies Everywhere, and Where’s My Bible—are four new additions: Swedish hardcore punk legends Raised Fist, UK metalcore/nu-metal act Graphic Nature, Swedish thrash outfit Eradikated, and Finnish progressive metal newcomers Royal Sorrow.
Raised Fist
Confirmed as one of the festival’s headliners, Raised Fist has been a powerhouse in the hardcore punk scene since forming in 1993. Hailing from Luleå, Sweden, the five-piece band has released seven full-length albums, most recently “Anthems” in 2019. Known for their raw, no-frills sound and frontman Alexander Hagman’s explosive stage presence, Raised Fist delivers hardcore punk that’s high-energy, direct, and charged with social commentary.
Hagman, the face of the band, is famous for his high-flying kicks and physically intense performances that never fail to fire up a crowd. The band’s passion for music and their mission to move people—literally and emotionally—shine through in every live show.
Graphic Nature
From Harlow, Essex, Graphic Nature is making waves in the UK metalcore scene with their aggressive blend of nu-metal and hardcore. Known for their unrelenting energy and modern edge, the band has carved out a place in today’s metal landscape with a sound reminiscent of Slipknot and Korn, yet fresh and distinct.
Their second album, “Who Are You When No One Is Watching?”, dropped in July 2024 via Rude Records. They’ve toured with major acts and appeared on some of the UK’s biggest festival stages—building a reputation for thunderous, emotionally intense live sets.
Eradikated
Eradikated delivers thrash metal the way it should be—fast, loud, and high-octane. While their sound draws inspiration from the Bay Area thrash scene of the ’80s, this is no retro act. They bring a modern twist to the genre with fierce live energy and zero backing tracks.
The band has released one self-funded EP (2021) and the full-length “Descendants” (2023, Indie Recordings), which was even nominated for a Swedish Grammy in the “Best Hard Rock/Metal” category. A new album is currently in the works and expected soon.
Royal Sorrow
Finnish prog-metal act Royal Sorrow gained major attention with their debut single “Metrograve” and its striking music video in late 2024. They followed it up with “Evergreen” at the start of 2025, continuing their journey through melodic, progressive metal inspired by the likes of VOLA, Sleep Token, Leprous, and Tesseract.
Both singles will appear on their debut album, set to be released later this year via InsideOut Music.
