Turmion Kätilöt and Chaoseum Join the Kaaos Festival Lineup
Vaasa’s heavy music scene is about to get even more intense next summer, as the brand-new metal-focused Kaaos Festival takes over the former Wasalandia amusement park in Vaskiluoto on July 25–26, 2025. The festival is organized by WsArena Oy—the team behind the Lisää Löylyä festival—in collaboration with Kaaoszine. Festival promoter and Kaaoszine editor-in-chief Arto Mäenpää shared his thoughts on the new event:
“The lineup is really starting to take shape in a way that reflects the spirit of Kaaoszine—offering a wide range of metal’s many styles and shades. We’re still in talks with the headliners and hope to announce them in spring 2025.”
Joining the previously announced The Haunted, Fleshgod Apocalypse, In Mourning, Bloodred Hourglass, …And Oceans, Assemble The Chariots, Enemies Everywhere, and Where’s My Bible, are two more fierce additions: the undisputed kings of disco metal Turmion Kätilöt, and Chaoseum, a Swiss band blending nu-metal and metalcore, making their live debut in Finland at the festival.
Turmion Kätilöt
A staple in Finland’s heavy scene, Turmion Kätilöt needs no introduction. The band released their latest album “Reset” along with a book about their story in October, and they’re bringing their unforgettable industrial metal party to Vaasa in July. Expect a wild, high-energy show that leaves no one standing still.
Chaoseum
Formed in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2018, Chaoseum is quickly rising on the European metal scene. The band recently toured across Europe with Tarja Turunen and has racked up tens of millions of streams. Their biggest hit so far, “Smile Again”, has drawn comparisons to Korn and Mudvayne. Despite their growing popularity, they’ve never played in Finland—until now. That changes this July at Kaaos Festival.
